Architecture

I have no sense about art......I like to visit the museums to watch all kinds of art, but tell the truth that I really don't understand what the standard the experts use. So it is difficult for me to think anything I love most.

I like the architecture very much. When visiting a building, I will imagine how people live and what they usually did in this space. The architecture is an art, and also a spce that connect with human daily life closely.

Wherever you go, the buildings on the streets build up the impres of that place. After living inside the building, the memory are added more meaning on it. Whenever you turn around, you seem hearing someone talking, acting at the familiar place. Then the architecture is not an building only anymore!

I still can't chose my favorite architecture because each one has collected my pieces of memory.

My boring childhood

When I was ten years old, my little brother was born. It is really interesting to play with the little infant. Everyone would worry that I will feel lost and be jealous. However, I didn't feel that at all. The thought that I am his elder sister made me proud.

I started to read various kinds of books, as many as I could. Before ten, I recognized to few characters and often read the kids' books only. From that time, I have had more choices. Reading books is a great way for me to understand the big world and experence the exciting lives.

I prefered to stay at my little world, with my books and everything around me. I didn't like to go out for exploring.

I do not remember too much about shool and class. I even can't think any classmate in my poor memory.

Pigs-feeding

I had a small trip to the Southen Taiwan. Three of my friends and I decieded to have a vaction during the summer two years ago.

It only took about four days. We managed the route by ourselves. We wanted to eat a lot of delicious food, so we named this trip as "Pigs-Feeding". But actually we still visited many museums in this trip. At the first day, we bought our dinner at a famous night market IMG_1817that is near a university in Taichun. The food in the picture was our dinner, and some food was already finished on the way.

Next day, we then ate more and more food in Tainan, the city famous for its food.

Also we visited the historic spots. Tainan is the first place to build up in Taiwan. There are verious spots (except food) for visitors. The spot in the picture is called "Anping Castle". This is what the four character means. The castle was built by the Dutch in 1624. IMG_1840

At the last two day, we traveled around Kaohsiung, the biggest city in Southern Taiwan. All the big cities look similar. However, the wether in Kaohsiung is much hotter than Taipei (the city I live). We ate the ice shavings there. That was great to have ice for dessert.

We were so exciting about that trip, and chatted all the time. Just like the old saying goes, "Three women getting together will be as noisy as a whole market." We all have a lot of fun on the way. I think that the most important thing is we could take a trip with each other. A good trip is based on good partners! They are the best friends of mine!

Cookies with Almond Slice

I want to introduce you a very simple recipe about Almond Slice.
It's very easy to succeed, and I tried before!
At the oral exam of the senior student two years ago, my friend and I made the cookies for the oral examiners. We choosed the most easy recipe, cookies of almond slice. The cookies were really popular among everyone, including the examiners! If you have an oven at home, try it! It would be intresting to bake simple and yummy cookies with friends and kids.

Ingerdient
castor sugar 120g,  egg white 100g,
margarine 84g , cake flour 120g,
shortening 36g, almond slice 120g, salt 1g

Mix castor sugar and egg white in a big bowl, and then put the melting  margarine and shortening into it. Siftt the flour and salt in and mix it but  don't mix the ingeedients too much. Put the almond slices in the mixture.

Spread out into thin, almost transparent circles on plates. Bake in a preheat oven at 180°C/ 292°F for 15 to 20 min. Oh~ the cookies would be eazier to take off if you have wax paper above the plate.

I found this picture on the internet.

My little brother

I have one elder sister and a brother. We always bicker and fight for daily small things. It's HARD to recall something special.

My little brother is 15 year old and just at the age caring about apperence. He would want to show that he is growing up, and taller than me "a lot ".
He likes to jump for touching something placing high and then laughs that I can't reach there at all! DSCF0200

He will have an enterance exam for high school this summer. He was not so nervous about that exam at first. Then he found that his grade of practice exam was not as high as his prediction. I asked my friend to be his private teacher, because I had no memory about the couses. He had asked me some questions in quizzes, and  I had no idea how to solve them. That was really shame to admit the fact, so I connect with my friend as soon as possible.

Now my brother has to attend the cram school everynight. He comes home after 10 pm. It's really tired to study such a long time. I can't wait to play with him after his exam.
